The February Featured Kit is a Rush!

I have the pleasure to work with the Featured kit this month at LPS! The kit features items from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush line, and it is absolutely adorable! It's an obvious choice for Valentine's Day, but can be used for so many other types of layouts and projects! Here are a few I've completed so far.

Week #6 - The game continues!

Amazingly enough, our team (Blue Team) made it through the rose ceremony in the Scrap Bachelor contest at LPS! We picked the closest number to the drawn number, and were able to complete all the layouts. This week's clue was very difficult for me! We were supposed to match up the remaining eight players with their fake identities. I got three right, including myself, the immune player, and one other I'm not sure of. So, I get to complete FIVE layouts this week! I also have to do my DT layouts, so I am combining them as much as possible. I have until Saturday night at midnight to get them all done! Wish me luck!

Sadly, I was eliminated at the end of this week! In a way, I'm relieved because it was getting harder to keep up with the scrappy assignments. Good luck to the remaining contestants!

A New Addition!

Well, it's been seven years since I had my last baby, and twelve years since we had our last puppy! The kids have been begging to get another dog. Violet is starting to really slow down, and has almost completely lost her hearing. We can never replace her! The kids need a dog who can keep up with them, though.

We saw some puppies a year or so ago, and visited the shelter, but nothing really caught our eye. Then, last week on a visit to Target, we saw some kids selling puppies outside. The dog they had was nothing special, but the girls said she had more at home. They are mostly lab, with 1/4 border collie, and maybe some Australian Shepherd mixed in. I thought it sounded like a good mix! So, I took the kids to see the other puppies the next day! They were absolutely adorable, and we were even having trouble picking one. The kids loved this one the best, and I'll have to agree he's adorable! We are picking him up on Monday!

Week #5 Go Blue Team!!!!

Week #5 of the Scrap Bachelor is full of surprises! The remaining contestants have been divided into two groups, the red team and the blue team. The directors have chosen a mystery number between 1 and 3o. Each team is supposed to complete as many layouts (1 pt) or cards (1/2 pt) to come as close as possible to that mystery number! The team who comes the closest will continue to the next round, and the other team will be eliminated! I uploaded one card (1/2 pt), so we are on the board!

Go Blue Team!!!!!

The Scrap Bachelor Continues...

Well, I survived through week 4 in our current contest at LPS, The Scrap Bachelor! The challenge this week was to answer some clues to find out a mystery location in the south of France, that the Bachelor likes to frequent. I was surprised and delighted to find out it was located in Nice, France, a favorite stop of ours in a long ago European vacation! The challenge was to take inspiration from the Nice coat of arms.

I felt compelled to do a layout about the city, and here is what I came up with. I wanted to journal about our visit there, but sadly ran out of time before the deadline. Perhaps, I'll go back and finish the journaling one day.

Latte Love Crop!

We had such a blast at the crop this past weekend at LPS! Here are some of the examples/layouts I did for the crop:

"Love Story" Challenge - This was a challenge to write your love story, and use it as your journaling on a layout.
Heart "Beat" Challenge - A challenge to use one of the songs on the playlist as inspiration for your layout.
Valentine Shaker Card made from Bo Bunny packaging:

Here is the layout I did for Sandra's Early Bird Sketch challenge. This was also my entry for the Scrap Bachelor, week #3.

Jodi did two one hour challenges, which were a blast. I got to participate in the first one, and here is my layout.

I did these cards for Andrea's Let the Latte Inspire You challenge! I loved the soft creams and browns in the latte photos, and decided to make some cards.
