March LPS Design Team Submissions!!

This month, I had the chance to work with the LPS Featured kit, which had papers from Scribble Scrabble "Evelyn" line! This kit was so fresh and fun, and brought to mind the carefree years when my kids were little, so that's what I scrapped about!

LPS Challenge 3/9/09 "Get Lucky"

This was my turn to do a challenge at LPS, and I decided to honor the month of March! March is an important month for our family because Greg's birthday is on the 21, we met on the 18th, and got married on the 20th! We are celebrating the twentieth year of when we met this month!!

My challenge was for you to "Get Lucky" on your layout! It's not what you think! I want you to use green and the word "luck" on your layout, is what I mean! Here is my take on the challenge.

Life Preserver's Scrapbook Club Spring Crop

Please join us at LPS http://lifepreserversclub.com/ March 27 - 29 for a fun weekend of scrapping, games, and prizes!!

What's scrappin' lately?

I have a big pile of photos from the past few months sitting on my desk, and I've attempted to tackle a few of them from the holidays. I did these two layouts using the LPS December Alternate kit (Cosmo Cricket), which I love! The theme on these two layouts was our Christmas morning present opening ritual. We have always just let the kids open presents as quickly as they wanted to, but that may change after this year when the whole thing was over in twenty minutes! My own mother used to make us sit there, and open our gifts one by one, and it was so annoying. I think she may have been on to something!!

Here are a few more from Halloween! My son, Leo, really had an out there costume! We visited a fun haunted house in a nearby neighborhood.

March LPS kits!!!

If you haven't seen the gorgeous Life Preservers Scrapbook Club kits for March, you are going to die! There may be a few more kits available, so check it out! I'm so excited to get to work with the Featured Kit next month! It reminds me of when my kids were little. My daughter had a dress with that exact cherry print! The project kit is to die for, as well! I love this club, because there is something for everyone.

Cruise Around the World in Eight Layouts!!!

There is a new challenge at Life Preservers Club! The cruise challenge started February 2nd! I am determined to complete the layouts, although I'm not eligible for any of the prizes. Here is my week one layout. The challenge was to use a heart in your layout. I took a white heart doily and inked it up with Ranger Alcohol Inks and Distress Inks.

Here is my week #3 layout. Our challenge was to scrap our favorite movie somehow. I chose "Home for the Holidays", which is one of my favorite holidays movies. I wrote about how we always stay home on Christmas, and why.
This is my week #4 layout. The challenge was to scrap about something you would miss. I decided to scrap about missing my two oldest children when they were little. I used one of my favorite photos of the two of them together!

February LPS Design Team Submissions!!

I had the opportunity this month to create some projects with the gorgeous LPS Featured kit by Fancy Pants (Splendid Line)! This kit was very versatile because it was romantic and whimsical, perfect for layouts of the kids or more grown up pages!

This one was done using the mini kit by Basic Grey (Bittersweet). This kit was so yummy!!
