Vintage ATC Swap

Maggi is hosting this month's ATC swap. The theme is vintage, so I've been wracking my brains trying to think of something unique to do for this. Maggi used her trademark pin up girls, Kim used ladies with hats, Andrea used little vintage girls, Von used fun advertising ads from the 50's, among others. I thought a California theme would be awesome, but it was very difficult to find post cards that were printable, and that would fit on my cards. I stumbled upon these skating rink logos, which I thought were really cool. They were also the right size for this project. I used only logos from California rinks, too! My ATCs were nothing to write home about, but I found some great sources for vintage ephemera online! Flickr has a bunch of groups for ephemera sharing! I also was able to break into an awesome Jennie Bowlin mini kit from a few months back! I love the patterns of these papers, with the vintage looking cherries and flowers.

Back to school!

My kids went back to school yesterday!!! We officially have four kids in four different schools, which makes things a little more complicated. Aline is in High School, Leo is at the Junior High, Joey is still at Fine Arts Academy, and Anton is at Santa Rosa. Two of the kids are playing soccer this season, as well. We are going to be very busy, but also I should have some time to focus on my scrapbooking! Maybe I can get a little housework in, too, if I can find the time!

Big Scrapper House

I've survived the past two weeks at the Big Scrapper House! For week two, the challenge was to use bling and stamping on your layout. Here is mine.

Each week, a few of the players will be eliminated, unless they have immunity that week. I'm praying I can hold on until the end, but there are no promises! Wish me luck!

August Design Team Layouts

This month at Life Preservers Scrapbook Club, I had the opportunity to work with the really fun Alternate kit, which included items from the Crate Orbit line! The whimsical patterned papers have funny little monsters, aliens, and other space related designs, which are perfect for boys!

I also ordered the drop dead gorgeous LPS project kit, which featured papers from Paper Trunk socialite line, and a Maya Road layered chipboard album. The embellies were to die for, as well! I knew I wanted to use this kit on an album for my daughter's 8th grade graduation. Here is my mini album. A LIttle Scrappy Fun!

It's been so crazy around here, I've barely had time to catch my breath, much less get any scrapping done! I have a bunch of photos from the 4th of July parade we attended in Cayucos, California. I was so taken with a group of men wearing kilts at the parade, I did a layout about it!

Travel Journal Class at LPS!

There is a new class at LPS! Make an awesome Travel Journal with all of the photos and memorabilia from your summer adventures! I show a little album I made using the Coptic Binding Technique, which I think is very unusual and beautiful.

Welcome to the Big Scrapper House!!

Join us for fun and games at Life Preserver's Club! The latest contest is called the Big Scrapper House, and is full of mystery and intrigue. Check it out here Big Scrapper House.
