We had a blast over the past weekend at the LPS Summer Celebration Crop! There were over a dozen fabulous challenges, games, and make and takes to participate in! I got a few of the challenges finished, and plan on working on them over the week.
The anticipation is building over who will be our newest Queen of the Crop! The DT is still busy trying to figure out who the coveted crown will go to! Please keep watching for updates.
Here are my challenges:
My first challenge was to get inspiration from a clothing tag (it's actually from a recent bra purchase!). I thought the tag was very eye catching and humorous! Here is the layout I came up with.
Scrap your "bad" photos challenge - I encouraged everyone to use one of those less than perfect photos we have laying around on a layout! Who says they all have to be perfect, anyway? I used an old photo of my daughter, Aline, and my middle son, Joey, when he was a baby. I thought the photo was adorable, although it was blurry and dark.
For my make and take, I gave instructions on how to make a vacation travel souvenir case out of one of those envelopes you photos come back to you in! You can find the complete directions at Life Preservers Club.
I was able to complete a few of the other challenges during the crop. This layout was completed for Sandra's sketch recipe challenge. I loved the sketch!
For Melissa's Christmas in July challenge, I used some old photos of my two oldest kids as toddlers. I took a whole roll of film trying to get the "perfect" Christmas card photo. What I ended up with is a bunch of cute and funny outtakes!
